1. Information we collect

• Booking details: your name, email address, phone / WhatsApp number, LINE account name, preferred date, time and location, group size, and any notes you share (for example, special requests).
• Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (such as the last four digits of your card), but we never see or store your full card number.
• Messages: the content of emails, WhatsApp, LINE or Instagram messages you send us.
• Contact form: the name, email address, preferred package and date, and message you enter in the contact form on this website.
• Photos: the photographs taken during your session, which may show you, your companions and the people around you. With the Your Camera Session, photos are taken on your own device and we do not keep copies.
• Technical data: when you visit this website, standard information such as your IP address and browser type may be processed by our hosting provider and by Google Fonts to deliver the page. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2. How we use your information

• To confirm and manage your booking, and to send your meeting point and session details
• To contact you before and on the day of your session
• To edit and deliver your photos
• To process payments and refunds
• To answer your questions and keep records required by law (for example, tax records)

Under GDPR, our legal bases are performance of a contract (your booking), our legitimate interests (answering enquiries and running our business), legal obligations, and your consent where we ask for it (for example, portfolio use).

3. Your photos and portfolio use

Your photos belong to your memories, and they are yours to share. We will only use your photos on our website, Instagram or other promotional materials if you give us explicit permission. You can withdraw your permission at any time, and we will remove the photos from our channels within a reasonable time.

4. Sharing with service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services we need to run bookings:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Google (Gmail, Google Maps) — email and meeting-point sharing
• Meta (WhatsApp, Instagram) — messaging, if you contact us there
• LY Corporation (LINE) — messaging, if you contact us there
• Pixieset — delivering your online photo gallery
• Netlify — hosting this website and receiving contact form messages

We may also disclose information where required by law.

5. International transfers

Some of the providers above store data outside Japan, including in the United States, Canada and the EU. These providers maintain safeguards for personal data that meet recognised international standards. By booking with us from abroad, your information is also transferred to Japan, where we are based.

6. How long we keep your information

• Booking and payment records: as long as required by Japanese tax law (generally 7 years)
• Your photos and online gallery: 1 year after delivery, after which they are deleted. Please download your photos within this period.
• Messages: up to 1 year after your session

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including secure payment processing, password-protected accounts and private gallery links.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, stop using it, or (where applicable) provide a copy of it. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also object to processing and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

Children may appear in family sessions with a parent or guardian. Bookings must be made by an adult.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with its date.
